No, nothing strange. XXtoMobile engine is under heavy construction, so while old profiles in works, new ones coming out "as it should be".

I take that back it (iPad) works alot better, but is not 100% great. It's still jerkin a little bit, so I take it anything less than 20FPS is not ideal?

I have had no luck with Blurays burning above 15FPS consistantly to a Mobile output. DVD's no problem.

Really, you should be trying the same frame rate that the title is composed at.

Most software/MP4 players can accomodate up to 30fps.

That would be nice but unfortunately the software for BD -> Mobile .mp4 only allows "Same as Source".

Believe it or not though, I just tried with CoreAVC enabled for Decoding and that gradually increased the fps by 3-5, so the highest i've gotten now is 16-17fps. Still turns out to be a lil spikey but we are making progress.

I wish I could figure out how to get CUDA enabled, I bet that would help. I've tried everything from the steps above to reinstalling drivers. No luck with anything.. should I try rolling DVDfab back to 7.0.4.0?

That is exactly what I meant.

The frames per second encoding is a direct function of how fast your system is.

Do you actually have a CUDA capable card in the machine?

What sort of encoding fps do you get on DVD to Mobile?

                    zinjen,
you've got me lost here... What is your concern exactly, framerate as a processing speed, framerate of the content that you're getting, or playback framerate????

I apologize for the confusion. Concern is playback frame is always to low, unwatchable at that. I guess my concern is CUDA not being enabled causing my FPS loss? I've already tried it with "Software" checked on all encoding/decoding options as that's the only one available aside from CoreAVC in the H.264 Decoder.

End result I just want to be able to convert my blurays to my appletv. I've tried everything I can think of.

OK. Please give me MediaInfo on your processed file, the one that's for AppleTV.

What information do you need? The Bluray is Avatar.. ended up being about 3.89 gig file size.

I need MediaInfo.... If you don't have it, google it, install. It will help you in a future too.

Ok no problem. I'm trying another run at it right now, once it finishes I will provide you an update with that info. One way that I was able get it to work was by doing BD -> MKV, then File To Mobile (MKV -> Apple TV). It works out great but 1920x1020 output in .mp4 conversion takes almost 7 hours per pass.

I made several BD->mp4 yesterday. I use CUDA for decode and the "software" setting for encode which seems to produce the best speed for me, about 45-50 fps, depending on the audio input type and bitrate. These are the first of these I have made, so other settings may be faster. The optimum speed settings will differ depending on your GPU etc. I do recommend that you install CoreAVC for decoding. It does seem to speed up decoding BDs that are encoded this way.
