    Other File to Mobile crash

OK, so I was trying to rip a DVD to Mobile, but I saw that there was no progress. I then ripped the DVD to a file and it worked perfectly. Now I was trying out the File to Mobile to try to put that movie I ripped into my iPod. However, whenever I choose the folder location and after it's starts reading the files in the folder, my DVDFab just stops working and tells me to close the program. Here is the description I obtained from the crash report:

Please have a look at the informational links in my signature below before reporting a problem as one of these may solve your problem.

    C:\Documents and Settings\your username\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

The logs are simple text files that can be opened with Windows Notepad. If the size exceeds the forum’s attachment size limit, you may need to delete older entries or copy and paste the relevant ones into a new file.

dvdfab_process.log Attach if DVDFab crashes and the crash report window does not come up or complete correctly or if internal error codes appear in the DVDFab window (“Task Failed…”). Time stamped, most recent at the bottom.

dvdfab_internal.log Attach for all problems. Time stamped, most recent at the bottom. Please edit to include only the most recent or relevant log session.

Make sure that you are using good procedures. Recommendations can be found

I'm trying to use the "File to Mobile" feature. Here's what I'm doing (did):

              1) Plugged in my external optical disk drive (it's faster for me that way)
              2) Run DVDFab 7.0.9.3 and go for "DVD to File"
              3) Insert the DVD, choose paths for input/output and clicked start
              4) After it finished, I go for "File to Mobile" and select the one for my iPod
              5) When I choose the file location and click the "Select Folder" button, the files are being read and then suddenly crashes. I've already sent the report BTW.

I've also tried to use the "DVD to Mobile" feature but when I click start, it apparently starts but then I notice how the fps that are being buffered lowers from 20.0 all the way to 00.0 and it never does anything!! It always stays at 0% and I have let it run for more than an hour.

I've tried these methods with both my external optical drive and my computer's optical drive, yet the results are the same (except for when ripping the DVD to a file, using the external drive is about 2x faster).

Now, I've used this program before with an XP and it worked fine. I had an older version of DVDFab and worked perfectly.

If you need any more info. I'll do my best to provide it.

              Thank you!

When you save the DVD to computer you only need to use the DVD to Mobile part. File to mobile is for converting a different mobile format to another format. As for the fps going to zero try resetting DMA and change A/V Codec to all Software.

If this suggestion does not work still then need you to post the current logs for that try

OK, I've reset the DMA in the DVDFab options but how do I change the A/V Codec from all Software? Which software? DVDFab only or all the video related software such as Windows Media PLayer, VLC, Quicktime, etc.?

Could you please explain? I'm not much of a tech savvy

Please also tell us which version number of DVDFab you are using.

//Never mind, found it in your logs. You can set to all software in DVDFab Settings, click on the item that says A/V Codec, then use the dropdowns to set everything to
                    "software".
