    Iʻm having the same problem

DVDFab will not mount blu-ray discs under OS X 10.8. They mount fine in finder and are accessible to the OS but DVDFab refuses to recognize or scan the discs. Then when quitting the app it crashes, EVERY TIME. Sometimes it gives an error on relaunch that DVDFab is not supported under this operating system. I tried two different external usb Blu-ray drives and same problem. I did a FRESH install of OS X 10.8 and reinstalled DVDFab 8.2.0.0. Same problem! It has been this way for the last three versions of DVDFab since upgrading to 10.8 Mountain Lion. The machine is 2007 iMac.

And yes, DVDFab does work with DVDʻs using the internal drive.

I hope this helps get it fixed.

    Thanks.

Two weeks thos thread has been up, amd without a response from dvdfab. I am willing to send logs or whatever is needed to help correct the bluray drive detection and reading issue.

This lack of response even acknowledging the issue is really getting annoying.

Trying the new beta now, so far it looks like it is working, I was able to detect the bluray after inserting the disc into the drive, and am creating an iOS file now. Still need to do more testing, but so far so good.

Just a further update, I can use my internal reader in the iMac for the DVD, and my Bluray drive works again for blurays.

Anyway, at least we are back to being able to copy bluray discs, even if the issue of having more than 1 USB drive work with this app is still outstanding.

          EDIT: Just to clarify,

I can put a DVD into the internal DVD drive and it will autodetect.
I can put a bluray into the external USB Bluray drive, it will autodetect. A DVD will NOT autodetect in the USB bluray drive.
My 3rd drive (an USB DVD drive) is will not autodetect a DVD. It is useless with this app.

All three drives work in other programs without issue such as Toast or MakeMKV, so it is not a hardware problem.

Still totally broke for me, see my post above. When I first launched the beta I was greeted with a message that said "this operating system is not supported" or something similar. I didnʻt write it down. I open it again and it launches, but it still does even try to read a blu-ray even though itʻs mounted in Finder. I exit dvdfab and it crashes, every time. Same problems, nothing changed.

Itʻs nice that youʻre putting a lot of effort into Hunger Games but 8.2.0.6 will still not even recognize a DB disc on my machine under OS X 10.8. See my first post in this thread. Still broken!

We cannot reproduce the problem on our 10.8 Mac for now, but we are trying with more Mac computers to reproduce it, please wait for our feedback.
DVDFab is the all-in-one software package for copying Blu-ray/DVD and converting video file.

Latest update seems to have fixed it for me (8.2.0.7) but it still crashes when I quit DVDFab

I am still running Lion (10.7.4) and I am having this issue as well. I just bought a good blue ray burner and thought I would try this, was hoping it would work well. I guess I will have to look for a different alternative if it wont even load the source.

DVDFAB works on new install but not on second disk

I thought this may have been fixed but it is still not recognising the drive after first use.

Let me know if you need any log files or other data:

I did not have any problems with version 8.2.0.0 for Mac OS X on my Mountain Lion, but since I did the update Fab doesn't respond at all! Where can I get a copy of DVDFab 8.2.0.0?
Any help will be much appreciated.
