Now StreamFab has been completely defeated by AnyStream Plus!
Unfortunately, I don't have a Mac, otherwise I would have bought Downie to download the video

How come AnyStream has Peacock working perfectly?

Because it's not exactly difficult, I'm not sure what streamfab is stuck on. A generic android l3 CDM and I'm able to decrypt any video from peacock. I'm heavily considering adding peacock to my public open source downloader

Because they have developers that can actually do more than function as a doorstop. Always have had, too.

How can you can't be "stuck on" something if you've never even tried to solve it? It's very clear they did nothing more than decide that their low-rent version of CleverGet was going to keep things limping along indefinitely while they put their efforts into adding another porn module - and then they took another week-long holiday because not doing one's job is flat-out exhausting.

My suspicion at this point is that SF is essentially functioning entirely on ripped-off code - which may be an adequate strategy if you're gonna crank out a jacked version of the CleverGet screen recorder/re-encoder, but will never get you out from behind the DRM 8-ball. They don't have a developer that can do anything else but ghost this forum's two ex-mods and take credit for other people's work, and it's clear that dealing with the January CDM revocation is simply beyond their ability. They were aware the revocation was coming in October, and did nothing to get ahead of it, so they were well aware of their limitations months before it happened.

The only way to restore SF to a direct downloader is hire people who can decrypt the DRM, and it's obvious that after four months they're not going to do that. As long as they can con people into buying their CleverGet substitute because it has another new porn module, that's what they'll do. And when that finally isn't enough to be economically feasible, it'll be game over.

It's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen, because there were a helluva lot of features that made this software worth the purchase price, and to see that much free-range stupidity concentrated all in one place is always distressing.

Complaint People, you who are plagued by the DRM problem. Go to your user center and write a message to support. You must see that we are not satisfied!

What really grinds my gears is that they have had that issue for ever. Then when it happens on Netflix, they move to the Android interface to mitigate the issue.

Then they figure out how to stay logged in in the PC interface but don't apply the same principle to Peacock.
How to post issues in the StreamFab Section

That's because you're allergic to dumbassery.

Hey, why should they bother? They're working with code that most probably isn't even theirs in the first place, because they don't seem to be able to modify/repair it with any degree of success. It all equates to no one giving a ripe toss just as long as they can move onto adding the new Latvian porn module.

LOL, I don't go to MIT, I can just see it from my house. I'm certainly not a programmer and I couldn't code my way out of a paper bag, but logic sort of dictates that if they didn't write any of it to begin with, then they sure as hell aren't going to be able to tear it down and rebuild it to function in the face of a massive CDM revocation. It would sure as hell explain the slow but relentless erosion this software has undergone since I bought it in January of '22, and why maintenance of the major streaming sites was neglected in favor of adding piddling 20-subscriber modules.
                      .
In any normal setting, a developer that can't do their job would be flat-out fired, so the fact that the Ghost of Codings Past is still around and collecting a paycheck speaks more to an agreed-upon business plan, rather than just upper management's complete lack of motivation to show them the door.

They bought a program back in 2018-2019 because AnyStream had already been in beta testing for a while, and of course, they had to follow. They were so far behind they bought a program called Y2Mate.ch which still is in business today only owned by this company now. When they bought it they made a few changes, like using freeware to enhance it. It worked well at that point. But like everything else they do, they made a big mistake getting rid of the original developer, I guess they thought it would work forever. Now there are 10 clones of this program and the only thing different about them is their subscription rates. They all do not work. It is like that with all their products now, Unifab - Wondershares Uniconveter. They can't even name the program with anything original.

I bought Wondershare's Uniconverter before they ripped it off and slapped their name on it, so I recognized it right away. If all you do is adhere to that pattern of repurposing other people's work, then you certainly won't have any respect for anyone who does create something original - so no wonder they assumed all they'd have to do is just give everything a minor tweak every now and then and just keep it cranking in perpetuity - because hey, how hard is it to decrypt a DRM, really? Yeesh.

When I said the AS forum never sleeps, I wasn't kidding - those cats are dedicated to the download cause, like you read about.

There is only one way to do something correctly. The right way. StreamFab found another way, the easy way. The easy way doesn't often work.

I haven't updated or opened StreamFab at all in the past month or so cause it's not worth my time to get even more upset with this company. I'll wait till I see in the comments that StreamFab has finally cracked the new DRM and most of the modules are fixed. Till that happens I'm glad I purchased AnyStream cause that actually works. And yes the AnyStream crew is always on top of everything and try to be quick with releases. Their only downside is they can be complete a**holes over there. It's like they're always mad about something.
