I have been complaining about minor changes done in a new version and not listed in the changelog.

Now they add a huge feature and it's also not in the log...sigh...

New: Some improvements on the Built-in Browser Engine of StreamFab.
        6201 used CEF 102.0.10.0 - 6202 use CEF 128.4.8.0

Thats probably why the size is so much bigger:
        streamfab_x64_6201 485 MB
        streamfab_x64_6202 684 MB

        6201 StreamFab64.exe 95 MB
        6202 StreamFab64.exe 252 MB

Ya i get that but "Some improvements on the Built-in Browser Engine of StreamFab." is not an adequate description of now having a feature requested dozens of times, finally in the tool.

            I agree ..
.. also not a word about the fact that SF is no longer usable under Win7 - info

Existing Windows 7 users should buy new or used hardware and use Windows 11...at some point this will have to stop.

Yep, the handful of old-timer users shouldn't block progress.
Especially if it were necessary for >95% of users.
So I agree - but without information for those affected, that's not okay.

And the StreamUpdate should detect Win7 and block 6202 Upgrade.

I agree entirely. Sooner or later one must succumb to the pressure of progress despite the fact idiocy and ineptitude are the driving factors. I still and will continue to maintain Win10 was designed for ID10Ts and Win11 for MacIntrashers.

Inaccurate claims of support for deprecated operating systems could very well mean refunds and angry purchasers. I was originally one stuck with Win7 until I took the initiative to research, test and upgrade all the programs I relied on in Win7 to function properly in Win11. This took much time and much work.

Updating the CEF is going to resolve a number of annoyances I previously ran into with browser version incompatibilities.

An OS version check before install would be the least expected from even marginally adequate coders.

Win11 Pro 22H2, no bloatware, no spyware, no crapware, no TPM, no Secure Boot, no MS account. And yes, you can dual boot 7 and 11.

If I turn this into movie mode by somehow finding a script from version 6167 (NOT likely), how do I queue up an episode of a show, say NCIS S22E01 ?

Germania how does one set movie mode? Can I extract the script from the 6167 download without doing the installl?

You can open the downloaded .exe with 7-zip (and maybe others). Just right-click the .exe, select 7-Zip -> Open Archive and the script directory will be accessible.

I assume this is not needed for differents in seasons after your post here

But you don't need 6167 "scripts from an archaic version"

To analyse only a already started episode you can comment the lines 353+354 with #

For "Movie Modus" (with possible dl) you need to comment also the lines 273+274

But you can only download each episode individually ..
.. because of the same name you cannot add multiple episodes to the queue

I just realized that it's not just the password manager that is new... You can also install Extensions!! This is something Cats4U has been asking for years. You'd think such a feature would be listed in the release notes.

All i wanted was to be able to use Bitwarden inside StreamFab and now i finally can!

Windows 10 keys are dirt cheap and still has a year of support left.
Windows 11 keys are not too pricey either, just find a legit seller. And 11 can be run on unsupported hardware with helper programs.
Believe it or not, you don't have to go that far back to find hardware not supported by Windows 11.

I finally bit the bullet and set up Win11. Sadly there were zero upgrade options that would not fail without an error code, there again it's Windows and Microsoft so it is error codes and blue screens aplenty. I had to do a fresh install and re-configure everything. However I can still boot Win7 on the occasion the need arises, on the same machine (yes, it is possible with a little creativity).

If the system is more than a decade old there is a chance there won't be Win11 drivers for all the devices. Usually there is if it's not that old. My MB is from 2012 and Win11 is fine with it but I doubt I would have been that lucky had it been older. The firmware was updated to 2016 as well.

Yes, adding entries to the LabConfig registry keys allows one to install Win11 with no TPM, no RAM check and no CPU check. In short I had no other choice. There is an open source answer file generator that strips out most of the bloat and BS during install as well.

I knew the day was coming when I had to put Win7 on the back burner, it just took enough issues to prompt me to do so. Legitimate working Win10 OEM keys are $4 or less and Win11 $6 or so. I was able to run newer software in a Win11 virtual machine but that was only to buy time to migrate everything over to Win11 from Win7 and I can tell yo it was no picnic.

I can empathize with those still running Win7 and the upgrade path is problematic and therefore understand their reluctance.

Win11 Pro 22H2, no bloatware, no spyware, no crapware, no TPM, no Secure Boot, no MS account. And yes, you can dual boot 7 and 11.
