The ones I get from Netflix looked similar but I delete them. One came on email, one on my mobile phone as an MMS message. They too had similar verbage trying to persuade you it was legit. Stating their urls always end in netflix .com, etc and it encouraged you to visit the help center. Then at the bottom there was a link, going to somerandomurl.com/netflx (note the absence of one of the letters. Is it going to netfix or netflx?)

As far as getting releases from the scene.... 4K Disney stuff is found there. Fantastic that SF does DV/HDR Full HD now, but if I want the 4K, go there. Torrenting is somewhat dangerous to your ISP, use the usenet/newsgroups. Easynews or other providers have a great web interface.

I think what jpg72 wants is a screenshot of the message listed in his Amazon message center.

If we want to get to the bottom of this, we need more info.

The people who received this email, are you using Amazon UK, US, Japan or PrimeVideo?

Also, do you EVER play anything or strictly download?

What is the volume of your download activity?

Like simchris, I download a shitload from Amazon and because I spend so much money on channel add-ons and all kinds of physical items, they may be ok with the perceived loss from me downloading. I do play some stuff from within StreamFab sometimes, but that's just for a few seconds so it shows up in my continue watching. I think my mom may be watching stuff on her TV, but I guess I will ask her.

I have been downloading boatload of series to save for later, movies I already bought, and some stuff to watch later that might be gone in 2 months when I actually want to watch from Amazon. Realllllly adds up with older shows with 22-26 eps per season. I have been slowing my roll on that this week, and also trying to watch hours of actual stuff via Amazon on my AppleTV for perceived "balance." Just for laughs I also checked my Amazon account for any messages. Of course, not worried if 'revenue' related since I might spend $20K a year on Amazon (seriously -- catfood adds up!!). I am in US. This only interested me as I have been downloading so much from Amazon (US), but I have some random purchases from UK version from years back when some UK music company or tech company had their buy links on Amazon. I make sure I'm not logged into UK version for my downloads, though.

It is well known that if you want to browse certain sites, it needs to be off on Xfinity, so I just leave it off.
Also, usually changing DNS can simply fix, although I know you tried that. Even with the Security off, I still use either OpenDNS or Cloudflare DNS.
    People can Google other DNS.

Does 6229 still work, because if it does, then did streamfab make a change in the servers in later versions?
Me and the devs have tried everything and we can't do anything about it because verizon is blocking me on their end. No 6229 doesn't work anymore either, i downloaded 1 movie from Amazon and didn't touch SF for a month came back manually updated to 6.4 thats when the shit started.

Edit: also on that day me coming back to SF to download after that month hiatus upon booting up my pc SF didnt ask me to update to the newest version like it always does, that right there was the first red flag. I didnt pay any attention to that because I always do the offline Install

I feel is though this should be talked about because the last version that worked for me was 6229 and the last download on that version was from Amazon.

I also got this email, and I don't download that much from Amazon, nothing near the 100 max, and not every day.
I still think of all the add-ons. Look at what jpp72 says (here). Or is it just Amazon's own content? (subs to 12 channels in Canada and 5 in the US)
I had cut down as they space out the shows I downloaded as to when new ones get released. And does anyone really need 100 movies every single day, or it's more like they just want them and not really need them. Although it can be different for shows to get the full episodes and seasons, some shows can get to 10 or even 20+ seasons.

I got this email. It is real. I checked on Amazon website and it is in "Your Messages".
Sad to hear, although unless post #23 is mistaken, or maybe even though not in the uk somehow registered a uk account on Amazon, it still sounds weird, and you wonder even since it seems now a member has proof it's really from Amazon, you wonder then if their system is f*cked up. It also seems to only affect streamfab users, as I did a search for it and found no one other than someone posting in a streamfab community like here or Reddit.

I still wonder if other programs cause this. Even though many say most are recorders, they sure go out of their way to even say downloading when doing Amazon or YouTube and I know all the recorders or so-called recorders use yt-dlp to DOWNLOAD NOT record from YouTube. And there are other sites as well.

And it's been stated before the so-called SCENE and others who feed torrents and other sources these movies/tv shows from the providers use a different method, or at least that's what many figure because they have access to 4K more than streamfab or other programs do, let's hope they manage to stay undercover.

That should tell you something there. Why would amazon.co.uk send an email if you don't use Amazon.co.uk?

And if you have a decent email provider, you can see in details where the email really comes from, as even stated in the email, it should be sent from amazon.co.uk.

The one thing that disturbs me is, what is the point of sending out these false warnings? Is there a link to click? Does it then maybe take you to a fake Amazon site?

Other than that, what do they get out of sending fake warnings unless people are then contacting Amazon directly, and then that is putting them on a list of people to watch by Amazon.

If it is real, I know many still have not got it, but they may be sending them in batches.

Also, as Germania pointed out, any email I do get from Amazon it has my name, and if not, some other identifying info.
