The OP was told that in post # 12 and said they would try. I think they have more of an issue than we could even imagine.
They also do say they have done uninstalls with Revo uninstaller.
And this is my beef with NO support from streamfab. With the constant increase in prices and added charges, they need REAL support people here.

But anyway, I will point out what I see from the event viewer screenshots.
It seems streamfab is installed or at least trying to run in 2 locations. Program Files\streamfab\streamfab and Program Files\dvdfab\streamfab\

These events were from 2 different install / run attempts. I've tried leaving default location and I've tried using custom path c:\program files\streamfab. Yes I have followed the "guide" on clean uninstall / install.

Ok, I was not aware of that, so dismiss that post.

People have to ask this several times due to other users not following a clean installation. Usually, something with the streamfab cache and temp folders causes crashes.
Or a bad installation. I can only end with, since others say streamfab does work with Windows 10, is again make sure it's got all the final updates.
Or it's still the security software on the system. Maybe even try, if you want, to uninstall Avast. And use a 3rd party uninstaller for that as well.
SF works fine with Windows 11 Pro with just Windows Defender/Firewall, and I added Malwarebytes to my system for extra security against malware. Anyone can use it for free and try it.

Or delete the current streamfab.log and then run streamfab till issues happen and send the new StreamFab.log off to their support. Maybe send the crash report to them also?
Do that through the member portal.
And you may find you need to bug them every other day to help. I would usually say demand your money back, but I think no matter what, it's like 14 days.
They need to revise that to if they can't or won't fix the issue, you can get your money back, as from what you say, you can't use the software.

I guess, though, you risk situations like this with most software unless they have quality support.
There is no official support on the forum other than Wilson Wang, and he's had no activity for about a week.
And even at that, does not have all the answers.

          Hope it eventually works ...

Yeah, I'll check updates, drivers and all. I even went to the point of tossing up a quick Win 10 pro VM with nothing on it and installed SF, it installed and opened fine, so there has to be something going on in my current Windows. Wish there was better ability to troubleshoot it. I will try to remove my Avast see if that helps any but baffles me why after 2.6.4.7 this just started. I really don't want to have to wipe my PC out for just this app.

FYI - as general rule you should always turn off any security app when going to install stuff like this. We have similar issues with audio/video apps and kernel level tools. This is because some security apps will stop installers "writing" some code to some locations, which then breaks things. Doing full uninstall and removal of folders in your user folder related to the product is one good step, but before reinstall be sure to run windows repair tools like SFC /scannow -- and others from Microsoft to make sure environment is tuned up prior to attempting another broken installation. You can also try running the offline installer as admin to ensure some permissions are set very high. But you need to really turn off anything like Avast, McAfee, Bitdefender, etc. when installing stuff like this. Good luck!

Ok, so I removed SF clean again, with Revo and manually went through and checked everything was gone. I rebooted, I ran win updates, made sure I am up to date there. I updated all my drivers to make sure thats all good. I uninstalled Avast completely, rebooted again. I ran the offline installer for the latest SF 6.2.5.4 x64. Answered yes to any firewall prompts. I rebooted after the install. I shut off any background applications that were running. Fresh boot, SF opens to splash screen same as before, says "Accessing server information" but I never the the dots (...) progress and mouse icon turns into spinning wheel over the app, task manager shows it as not responding. I've run through SFC, I've run through DISM, I've checked .NET. I really don't know what else this could be?

Another tip, is change your DNS on your PC to Google and Cloudflare vs your ISP.

Also, why are you getting a firewall prompt? You should only get UAC (user access control) prompt, which is just the normal Windows check to make sure something is not installing without permission.

Double check your settings > apps >startup to see if you have some other "security" tool running.

You covered a lot there. I was also going to say startup programs conflict, but it seems you took that into account also.
I don't want to say NO to anything, but it seems very unlikely it's a network issue, as if it were, you would see these pop-ups instead. (Plus the Win 10 VM worked)
For some reason, yours goes into not responding :/

uninstall streamfab, and try installing the non x64 version of streamfab and see if that version will start. - https://forum.dvdfab.cn/forum/stream...tember-11-2025

I've tried various DNS through my PC and my router. No luck with that. Should I remove the authorization for this PC on my StreamFab account on the web page?

Tried 32 bit after full clean uninstall. It installed, but launching will not launch unless I do as admin. When launched as admin it opens splash screen then crashes with the SF crash reporter popping up.

When you launched StreamFab for the first time after installation, did you have to authorize yourself? Or did it never happen?
NEVER use the update function within Streamfab. Always download the offline file!

Was the folder under appdata>Roaming>DVDFab also removed?

                              That needs to go, too!

It has not prompted me to authorize except the first time I installed it years back, even after complete wipes of the files, registry and all. Per the StreamFab website I see my PC listed in the authorizations there under MAC address
