    NOPE

    8083 does the same thing...it will not open. At first I thought it went through cause it asked me to re-start to finish installation and when I did that and clicked on it, it would not open as usual.

      It still looks like there are numerous people having the same issue as me...even with 8083 hmmmmm

        I suppose this is more intended for you but anyone can answer I guess....

        I am still having issues installing anything past 8073. I see others are too.

        I just completed a full system re-boot and install which took forever. I uninstalled any and all updates Windows did since Jan 1....so I really took my computer back a few months. I did not upgrade to IE 9 still using IE 8 which never gave me issues....

        I can get 8073 no problem and works great but beyond that it still will not open up as admin. It has been a frustrating time the last 3 or so days trying to make all this work....

        My main issue at this point is as I have said in this thread....what happens going forward if this cannot be fixed? As for I will not be able to back up movies as we go forward, so what is the purpose of having something that will not work...I am hoping it doesn;t come down to that and eventually it will download and open like it has for years.... Just putting it out there. So far the movies I have backed up lately have worked but you and I both know that won;t last. I am attaching my latest log to see if it tells you anything at all.....but I have gone back to 8073 so not sure what it will tell you.

          I love a good mystery so I’m still trying. I have two Win7x64 systems, one in the kids play room that hasn’t taken the SP1 update and mine that has taken SP1. I put IE9 on both to see if anything changed and updated DVDFab to 8.0.8.3. Both work fine with DVDFab and I’m watching a movie I made on mine after installing IE9. Other than you the others with the issue haven’t posted what OS they’re using other than saying it’s WIN 7. I and at least one other poster are running Win7x64 and IE9 without issue.

          Could this be isolated to Windows 7 32 bit systems?

            A question for you!!
            Are you running your system with UAC "User Account Control" enabled?
            I am running Vista 32 bit, UAC disabled, Avast virus protection, myself and administrator "me" have full control over all programs in settings.
            DVD Fab is listed under my trusted sites in IE8 security settings.
            Hopefully we can find this soon

              I don't know.....I am not messing with it anymore at this point. I was/am trying to figure it out on my own (with all the help everyone has given me on here) and also even asking a Windows question on their website and have tried what they said to do. It appears I fixed the corrupted files. I really don't want to pay for someone to look at it and attempt to fix it. I am hoping I can find someone I know who knows what they are doing to try and take a look, but not so far. I went and looked at other .exe programs I have like Pokerstars and etc... and they pull up with no issue at all..imgburn works fine..

                UAC is....

                It is at Default-Notify me only when programs try to make changes to my computer.....and dvdfab is a trusted site. Never had issues like this before when trying to download newest versions.....

                  Spock: I know what you mean. I am tired and VERY frustrated at this point. I don't know what else we can do. I have tried about everything. It seems to me that DVDFab will have to resolve this one for us--working with the windows people also.
