Is there anyway to extend the trial until this is resolved? I purchased DVD copy a few months ago. I just started using ripper last week and would like to purchase it. But now my trial is over I can't use it til you work out the kinks on your end.
If you cant extend the trial, what about a credit of the DVD copy license and then we can just buy the package deal? Personally this would work out better for me as I wanted to change it to lifetime.
I don't think any of that is possible due to the way the website, Avangate billing and the product keys work, sorry. This should be straightened out before long.

The trial lasts 30 days and last time I checked a week is only 7 days so are you sure your trial over.

Yep, its expired. I honestly cant remember, but it is possible I looked at it previously to see if it did what I wanted. But I'm fairly certain I saw the pop-up saying this is not included/trial version start type message when I began using it a couple of weeks ago (it wasnt last week, more like 2, I was more just trying to indicate recently.
Ironcially, the blue-ray ripper has an expiry date of 26-sep-2010. I don't have or use blue-ray. But I was looking at those plugins at the same time, so go figure. :-)
Another idea, what if we buy the ripper now and then get a credit for the difference when its all worked out?
Well, still not at the 42.00 mark. I will continue monitoring...
Please try it now, all the purchase pages have been redone and I just tried it, worked fine. The $42.00 price was solid throughout if you start from the Member's Area/User Center. Still not sure what to call that area.
Well, I asked sales support and basically they said "no soup for you!!!! :-)"
I tried going to members area, logged in, no price change of any kind.
Sorry, but I must bow out, this is too rich for my blood.

Subject: DVD Copy/Ripper pricing(Purchase Problem)
Message:
I purchased DVD copy a few months ago and would now like to purchase the
DVD ripper. At the time it was considered an add-in. I did not purchase
it then because I knew I could simply add it on when I needed it.
Now thats its a standalone product, I have to pay a penalty for buying
your product beforehand. Based on the thread in the forum you guys are
discussing this and how to implement a solution. Currently my trial has
expired and its my understanding that there is no solution in place nor a
date of when it will be addressed/resolved.
Are any of the following possible options?
1) Credit for my current license and then I just repurchase the package
2) Extend the trial period for DVD ripper another 30 days or until you
have a resolution.
3) Can we purchase the DVD ripper license and then get credited the
difference when you guys have it all figured out?

...
Thanks,
Bummer!
This really is unfortunate and personally, I can't say I blame you for bowing out.
If I were in your shoes, I believe I'd see it exactly the same way
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

yeah. I was just using it to make 1 big VOB in the process to converting it to dvr-ms. It was convenient to adapt it to my script, put considering I can do the vob1+vob2+vob3 dos command for free, Its kinda tough to justify.
Really disappointed as I like the product and it is easy to use.
The information in the email from support is contrary to my understanding based on conversations with the boss. I have asked for clarification and will pass it along here when I get it. For what it is worth (probably not much really), I agree that there should be some type of discount for existing owners of either version of Copy if they want to buy the associated Ripper.
Maybe Anny meant that they could not offer any further discounts at this time.
