I agree with vschoell as well!

ATV might be crappy in some senses but it's easy to use for everyone in the family.
I previously used my PS3 for this but due to Canvia I changed to ATV.
The only thing needed here is ripping/conversion profile that will let you add 2 audio tracks.
I usually burn the subs directly or use suitable language for kids movies.
But if the profile would also let you choose subs or language etc that would be fantastic!

So please, Dear DVDFab team can you make a profile better suited for ATV, at least supporting?
    Audio 1. AAC 2ch
    Audio 2. AC3 6 ch

    Please!!!

Timmymac123, I deleted your post, we do not discuss the proper use of other vendor's software here on DVDFab's forum.

        Don't see why.

For one, DVDfab does not do the meta-tagging So that product is definitely a compliment to DVDfab. The other product has been mentioned in these forums so many times I can't count. I was just trying to give advice as to how to use DVDfab to rip the disk and then get to a format that ATV can actually play...reliably.

I for one have never been able to do that directly with DVDfab (at least I havenot been able to since Apple changed their software around 4.1 or so), and I do not see many others either,.

I've resorted to using another app that doesn't allow for video passthru (only AC3 passthru), but it creates the stereo track needed for use with iPad, etc. It's a colossal waste of time to re-encode the video (and lose quality in the process), but at least the resulting m4v file has working surround in AppleTV . The video quality looks good, but again--passthru would be amazingly cool (and probably simple).

So yeah, a free program can do this, and even takes the added unnecessary step to re-encode the video.

It's too bad that this very expensive program I paid for, DVDFab, can't do what this free app does. C'mon, give us video and AC3 passthru with stereo audio creation, and working 5.1 on AppleTV. It *really* can't be that hard.

Because it is the policy. Mmasse, this applies to you as well. Your post has been edited to remove the offending comments. We do not debate forum policies.
