    Richdmoore,

I have discovered that if I put a dvd (even a blank dvd) into the internal drive first and then put the blu-ray into the external drive, DVDfab will scan and recognize the blu-ray.

I was hesitant to post this workaround, thinking the real problem would never be addressed, but hell itʻs been broken three months for me already. I find the lack of support, lack of communication, lack of recognition of the problem and lack of customer service to be unprofessional and unacceptable. Itʻs not like this is a $10.00 app. Itʻs in the price range of a fully supported pro application.

I will try your work around when I get the chance. I agree, after paying well over $100 during the 40% off beta version special deal, I really expect them to acknowledge and fix outstanding issues with their software.

Putting a "sacrificial dvd" into the drive made my bluray drive spring to life. Thanks so much for the work around haole, you are the man!

P.S. Here is the log with the "Sacrificial dvd" installed into the internal drive.

          +1

The "insert DVD into internal drive then bluray into external drive" workaround worked for me too.

Congrats on working that one out.

That's a neat trick! Thanks for posting it. I've been having this issue for over 3 months now and even posted my logs, but got no response. Putting in the sacrificial dvd into the superdrive makes the external work normally again.

            How bizarre!

                8.2.1.7 beta is WORKING!
Looking at the log it seems the program is checking both of my drives now instead of hanging up on the empty internal superdrive.
                A big Mahalo DVDFab!
