OK I see them. I should have looked harder. Now I'm going to ask a really rookie question here as this is the first time I'm using DVD To Mobile. I see no tutorials on how to make a profile from scratch or how to import an already made profile into DVDFab. The two files you listed are in .txt format but where DVDfab is installed, the profiles in the profiles folder are all .xml format. So how do I get those two profiles into DVDFab?

Copy them to the C:\Program Files\DVDFab7\Profiles directory and rename them as .xml instead of .txt

Then start fab and go Settings, Customise UI, DVD to Mobile, Add a new device and HTC should show up.

This adds to the left column, copy to the right column.

There is no tutorial but there is documentation in the readme subdirectory of profiles.

I get a warning message about renaming .txt to .xml. No issues doing that?

I don't want a separate entry for the HTC phone. I want any profiles for that phone (I'd like to get a few in there for different extensions/options) to be in the "Cellphones" category. How do I do that?

          No issues renaming...

If you want them in the cellphone category, you will have to edit the profile to reflect this and also rename the profiles.

I am just starting to get into the whole HD ripping instead of wasting money on DVD's. I downloaded your XML profile and did as you said, but I noticed that there are two settings for the frame resolution. I have a Samsung 46" 120 mhz t.v. and I was wondering what would the better setting be? Thanks for any advice.

The two settings depend upon your source aspect ratio.

              If 16:9 go 720 x 400, if 4:3 go 720 x 576.

                  Hello,
I was curious if anyone has a Profile for the HTC Touch Pro 2 that is in MP4 format. I just tried the wmv profile on Sherlock Holmes and its awful. Skips like mad. I used dvdfab to rip to VOB then used a program i been using named HTC Touch HD Video Converter v1.21 that i found on ppcgeeks.com its pretty good but very slow and rather use dvdfab. and the MP4 runz great. Just started using dvdfab and im loving it. Would like to use the one program to get my results rather then ripping to VOB then converting that to MP4. So any help is much appreciated. Hope me mentioning the name of another program was ok i mean no disrespect im sure DVDFab can do it, i just dont know how to do the profile thing and would love to use DVDfab to make the MP4 for my HTC Touch Pro 2. Thanks again.

                      Creative Zen X-Fi2

                      Hi!
I'm new to DVDFab, but I quickly just made a Profile for my Creative Zen X-Fi2.
I'm sure it can be improved but actually it works perfect for me.
                      So here you go :-)
                      Format: avi, XVID + mp3
You can choose between the following resolutions which are all supported by the Zen X-Fix2, depending on your source File ratio:
                      • 640x480 (4:3) recommended for good quality, if you want to playback on bigger external screens)
                      • 480x272 (16:9)
                      • 400x240(16:10, the original player resolution)
                      • 320x240 (4:3)

                      I use a Video Bitrate of 640.

Default Sound Settings are Audio Codec: mp3, Audio Bitrate: 64, Sampling Rate: 44100, Stereo.

                      Hope it helps.

                      Regards,
                      melbe

Note: These profiles are for DVD to Mobile ONLY.....

This is MKV H264 Audiocopy profile that I have developed for this player, Measy E8HD which is my main player at the moment. This profile should be also good for most players of that class.

I have also attached the profile that I use for it's baby brother, the E6SD which will not play MKV's and this profile should be good for all players of that class.

I'm kicking the tires on the EH8D profile and about to take her for a spin...

Need profile for Archos A5 IT (Internet Tablet)

Could someone please make a profile for the New Archos A5 IT? It has a native res. of 800x480, and will playback true 1280x720p videos over a dvr station to my PJ. It can play h.264 with AC3 5.1 or AAC 2 ch. over mkv container. It will also play wmv10 hd (vc-1) and 5.1 in a wmv10 pro container. I've tried to create one for Archos with the profile editor, but have not had any success with the Blu-Ray to mobile. (I'm wanting to convert my Blu's for playback over my Archos 5 IT). Thanks in advance,
                            John

                              It Works!

I just tried this profile with DVDFab 7 and the Motorola Droid running android 2.1. It works great. Thank you so much!

This profile is not officially supported unless/until it is supplied with the DVDFab installer. It makes H264+AAC MP4 files. I will post one that makes AVIs for the Droid later. Just copy the attachment to your ..\Program Files\DVDFab 6\Profiles folder. It will appear in the cellphone dropdown selector as DROID MP4. Note: the 720x480 setting is available since the phone supports it but may have unpredictable results with some content. I suggest you choose one of the other sizes that match the aspect ratio of the original or cropped original image.

Please test this profile if you have this phone and post the results in this thread, quoting this post. Thanks.

Is it possible to rotate the picture 90 degrees? My Meizu requires this, and they provide software to convert movies, but it is not that great. The player is very nice though.
