New Profile for Samsung Vibrant (Android OS)

    YoboRipper and kimomakano
I will need to research the video requirements. You must agree to be the beta testers to check the profile and report in this thread, I do not have a Vibrant.
    --------------------------------------
Here is a test profile you can try. Download it and place it in the Profiles folder (not in Profiles2) in DVDFab's installation location. Looks like it will play almost anything, but the specs may be for files run through their driver or some file converter. These files you should be able to load to the internal card by setting the USB mode to Mass Storage (MSC). I have read that it does not like files larger than 2GB, so use the bitrate slider to keep the size below that figure. To use the profile, select More and then Cellphone. It will appear in the dropdown list as "Samsung Vibrant" after you load the Source. A two hour widescreen movie at the profile's maximum bitrate will slightly exceed the 2GB file size, so always check it.

signals, BD Iphone profiles are linked to x264_dp_PD-iPad.preset instead of x264_dp_PD-iPhone.preset. Is this really wanted?

I can't imagine that it should be. I'll check it also, thanks.

          Acc/ac3

Can we get a profile that does AAC and AC3 audio. The 5.1 Multi channel does not play as Dobly Digtal through iTunes and Apple TV.

Basically looking for the profile that will register with Stero and Dobly Digital. That would seem to make this a very complete Ripping software.

I have tried all the mulit channels and audiocopy profiles and it alwasy comes across as Stero or Pro Logic when played on Apple TV.

The audiocopy profiles give you exactly what was on the DVD with no changes. Many profiles give you AAC with multichannel if the container supports it. There is no profile that will re-encode the audio from x to AC-3.

Well then.. Not a single profile that I have used that creates a m-peg4 had Dobly digital, even though profile says it does 5.1 Multi Channel.

None show or play in iTunes/Apple TV with Dolby Digital

I guess when it boils down to it. Can DVDFab support mp4 with audiocopy to det the 5.1 Dobly Digital? I know other rippers do this.

I got it to work okay on some short home videos, is it possible to covert to dcf format? If not is there a good application for that? Thanks again.

                    Profile for Nook Color

I am new to this. I can't seem to rip a DVD to a file format that my Barnes & Noble Nook Color will play. The supported video files that are supported from the FAQ on the support site are:

"Your NOOkcolor supports the following video file formats: 3gp, 3g2, mp4, m4v; MPEG-4 Simple Profile up to 854x480; H.263 up to 352x288; H.264 Baseline profile up to 854x480

Your NOOKcolor will not support the following video file formats: Flash (Flv/swf); Mov/qt; AVI; MKV; Xvid/divx; WMV / VC-1; H.264 Main and High profile; and videos with a resolution higher than 854x480"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You posted it can play MP4 file so why not use DVDFab DVD Ripper to MP4 profile and the setting that you like best by testing them to see which one gives best picture on your device

DVDFab 8 killed my custom Profile

Why did DVDFAB 8 stop allowing audiocopy in MP4 containers? The container finally started supporting AC3/5, it was working in DVDFAB 7, and now it's gone... gone...

Is there a reason behind this? Something.. give me something, I have to continue to use version 7 until this is addressed. Help!

                          Mixmax

Download the profile and place it in the Profiles folder (not Profiles2) where you have DVDFab installed, usually C:\Program Files\DVDFab 7\... (\Program Files(x86) for 64-bit OS). To access it in DVD to Mobile, select PVP in the left-hand navigation pane, then select MIXMAX from the dropdown at the bottom of the title select window. It should appear as the default in the dropdown window. The default settings should produce good results, change them at your peril--the Mix Max is a very picky device. Disney no longer sells content to support the Mix Max, but now you can make your own.

If you have problems with this profile, post them in this thread with "MIXMAX" in the title.

Note: If you put the profile in the folder with DVDFab open, you will need to restart it for the new profile to show up. If DVDFab shows "Zune" (or any other PVP) as the selected profile in the dropdown, you either need to restart or the new profile is in the wrong place.
Looks like this profile is only for the original Disney MixMax. I found a MixMax 1.1 that has a 320x240 resolution screen. Tried the profile, and it works, but the video only partially fills the screen. I think the 1.1+ versions have a better resolution. It's the "Hannah Montana" one I bought for my son (I'll remove the graphics) w/ 2M memory plus SD support. Trying one of the orher profiles to convert his Thomas the Train DVD's to the MixMax right now, but would be nice to have options in the MixMax profile. Any ideas?

Looks like the Zune Profile worked. Video now fills the screen.

Yes, this has been unaddressed since 8 came out. I have posted several times about this being broken and it is very annoying for me to use the MKV audiocopy profile and then demux and remux into a MP4 container.

When will this be supported again?
