i use a different program on my laptop because i also get BSOD and it works
the only difference i see is the program doesnt aouto eject for a blank
instead it says press ok to continue so i manually eject and add blank the press ok it works great i love fab but i cant use on my laptop so i use another
program i think if fab were to try this way
      1= read dvd
2= stop task dont eject auto
3=have to where it says put in blank manually and press continue

i think that would fix BSOD something to do with auto eject. just my opinion
wish they would at least try this fix in a beta release for us that cant use it and get BSOD.

        Hi extreme1980

In the settings you can have Fab not eject disc when done reading and burning.

Open Fab click the Click the Green at top right corner of the DVDFab screen, and open Common Settings > General > DVD/Blu-Ray Read > and DVD/Blu-Ray Write.

There are 2 boxes you can check to not eject disc.

Have you tried using ImgBurn as your burn engine and still getting the same results?

Whether have VSO burning engine installed, if does, remove it.

            BSOD reason:
            DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If kernel debugger is available get stack backtrace.
            Arguments:
            Arg1: 0000000000000000, memory referenced
            Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
            Arg3: 0000000000000008, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
Arg4: 0000000000000000, address which referenced memory
            resigned

                EUREKA!!!!!
                At last!

Yes, as simple as turning off the eject after copy and burn operations. No more BSOD issue.

Please pass along this to the programmers at Fengtau.

Now I have to pay more attention to the application as no eject and sound notification occurs when it is time to remove original and insert blank, but at least no recovering from BSOD anymore.

                  Hi alanbs
I am happy that this worked for you.

                  @ xubin

I had to deal with this DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD issue after my son got a virus while playing games at Pogo.

I sure could of used your help on this as I just reformated my computer and reinstalled all my programs these past few days.

I adjusted the auto eject settings and I got the BSoD when I manually ejected it. I left the settings where they were at, the auto eject disabled on both the read and write, ripped dvd to hard drive Not dvdrive as destination, then, once finished used the "write Data" option under DVD copy menu to write previously ripped file to DVD and it finally worked!!

                      Didn't work for me
I still got the BSOD with the auto-eject disabled.

                        IRQL

The only way to get around the issue is to have the copy done directly to the hard drive and then perform a copy/write of the movie to a blank dvd, which requires a separate function to finally get it all done. This is the way I have had to do it in order to get the movie ripped and copied.

Has anyone addressed this with Toshiba; directly? I wonder what they have to say on the driver or support on this issue.

                        Thanks

                            Hi kdpooh
                            I understand your frustration.
The reason that there is not a solution to the problem is that it can not be reproduced by the developers.

maybe the developers should buy a new laptop, kind of like all of the ones we are describing and then try it. the software has worked for years on old laptops, it's the new ones that are the problem. i would think i am not the first one to think this up??
