Do I need to roll back to an earlier version of dvdfab? if so, how do i do that?
Can anyone tell me how to roll back to an earlier version?

Have you tried the suggestions in Posts 162 and 165? It fixed the issue for others.

            Hi rice8702
You will not have these options on the READ screen, they are on the WRITE screen, just below read.

Ok I upgraded to 8.1.7.8 and I am on the write screen. I still do not have the option DVD Fab Burning Engine. Any other suggestions?

My left side menu looks different than everyone else's. Mine only shows "DVD" and not DVD / Blu-ray.

Click the down arrow head to see the drop down menu and select DVDFab Burner.

thanks 90312 but the option is not there. I am not sure how to capture that screen image but when I hit the drop down I only have 3 options, VSO Burning Engine, Nero Burning rom, ImgBurn. That is it.

Thanks for the help, i am just not sure where I am going wrong.

                          Hi rice8702:
Would you please post the screenshot of Welcome dialog to me, or mail me alone.
I think some components are expired for your DVDfab.

                          Thanks,
                          Potti

I was able to successfully download v8.1.7.2 and I made a copy of a disc. I'm so pleased that I didn't get the BSOD screen!

For those having trouble, if you haven't already, double/triple check that you are using v8.1.7.2. When I was installing the program, I changed the folder name and program name so that I would be able to immediately tell the difference. As soon as I opened 8.1.7.2, it immediately began to look for an update and started to download that as well.

I'm not sure if I can post a link, but here's the link to the forum where 8.1.7.2 is announced at DVDFab:

UPDATE: I downloaded v8.1.7.8 and found that it also has the option in DVD/Write to change to DVDFab Burning Engine. I was under the impression that only v8.1.7.2 would work. My next backup I will try the latest version.

I just tried to uninstall and then reinstall with the latest version. I was able to uninstall but when I tried to install a new version I got this error.
