3.5 hour movie creates 5.6Gb ISO

Have you tried burning as TS files to see if it works that way since ISO does not seem to be working. Also have you tried doing main movie only as it is a 3.5 hour movie as you said

Yes I have only been doing main movie. Its actually only 2 titles on the disc. 1 is the whole 3 1/2 hrs and the other is 14 seconds..

Nope that didnt work either... It comes out to about the same size..

Its just generating too big a output from its compression..

For this movie, if you have DVD-5 selected as the output size, the readout at the bottom left of the window should say DVD5 Quality: 76% (5643 -> 4300MB). Does it show that?

//EDIT// Sorry, misread the data. It should say DVD5 Quallity: 55% (7830 ->4300MB).

OK, so you using the latest release with the default output size of 4300mb go into common settings and change it to 4472mb as that what I have for my setting and I have done a 3 hour + that way and not have your issue. Also check what Signals said too

I set it the dvd-5 size to 4472 and its working on it now. It takes about 20 minutes on my computer with this size movie..

Does setting this output also effect ISO size if you create ISOs ?

I am currently testing using the VSO engine for this test.

Yes it also affects the ISO size if you created that

Did this error happen when DVDFab started to burn to DVD? If it was then try saving to hard drive to see the output size before you burn. Also have you tried using Imgburn as the burn engine instead of Nero or VSO? It is what myself and most other DVDFab users use for the burn engine as you have more control over the burn than you do using the other two burn engines. Here is a link on how to use Imgburn with DVDFAB

If it was then try saving to hard drive to see the output size before you burn.

I will do that next time and report, but not till tomorrow.. It looks like the temp directories created are about the same 5.6GB tho.

have you tried using Imgburn

Normally I use DVDFab to copy to ISO's and then use Nero to burn the ISO's. This allows me to burn and copy at the same time from different disc. I have 3 dvd-rw drives. DVDFab can be copying one DVD while Nero is burning another ISO..

Hmmmm....... While I need to understand ImgBurn better.... Using it as the DVDFab engine,,,, it appears to want to create 2 dvd's or a DL disc for the movie ???.. Maybe im wrong.. Like I said I need to more fully understand ImgBurn..

The output from DVDFab tho was still too big for one dvd...

this is strange. i can not remember ever seeing this particular problem before. nor have i ever had this happen.

have you tried full disc mode. try running in clone mode, then run this through main movie. i dont really know, strange?

Yes I agree, very weird... I have used DVDFab for a long time and never had even a single problem. I accidentally sent the files yesterday. Didnt know what that button did

I will try clone & fulldisc then run that thru main movie, I will also try some other stuff with that concept in mind..

Using just full movie ImgBurn creates a DL ISO...
