Anything in the movie theater that you guys STRONGLY suggest I go see if I have the time or feel well enough? I have a few things that look good but usually that don't mean jack. Either way, everyone have a good rest of the day, good weekend and those of you getting an earlier start, a wonderful next week.Lï£ê ï§ å Lêmðñ åñÐ Ì Wåñ† M¥ Mðñê¥ ßå¢k

Don't know about the theatre as there is only rubbish playing at the mo here in Oz but last night I did the mininova thing and watched a couple of golden oldies, The Odessa File & 3 Days of the Condor.
I didn't realise how good they really were until I watched them again.

Hey all you Fabbers.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
@Guardian and anyone else looking for a theater flick this weekend.
My son (23 yo and a pretty good judge of flicks) recommends
"Law Abiding Citizen"
I'm down with the flu (I know, I know...everyone says they have the flu, but I really do), but I managed to take in
The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 on dvd.
Not a bad flick...I like Denzel and John T. anywayIf it ain't broke, don't fix it!
You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together and... blow. | Lauren Bacall | "To Have and Have Not" (1944).

And a seriously belated good morn to you as well sir. How is the weekend going so far?
Thank you very much, I plan to try and get some work done and then just chill for a change, a bit at least in lieu of all the crap on my plate. I plan to get them done this weekend but still, a little movie time might be nice.

Glad to here you taking some time off, you now what they say about all work.

Originally posted by touchdown_1 View PostWell, not knowing your taste in movies, I'll throw this one in the hat, (and I don't remember if it opens this weekend or not), but Avatar by James Cameron looks interesting, at least from the trailers they put out.

As for my taste, I like anything and everything, I know its hard to believe but that makes me easy to satisfy I like action/scifi (aliens, end of the world, time travel, bizarre, creative, adaptive, etc), I like funny/weird (in the spirit of hangover, fear and loathing, happy gilmore, etc), scary/thriller (in the spirit of halloween, saw, etc which don't scare me, I just like them to try at least damn it ), documentary/history/deep (that's anything that is good but is a square that doesn't fit the usual circles), and animation (by virtue of having kids, also more adult ones like simpsons, other GOOD animations or creative attempts), so did I forget anything? Crap that leaves nothing out does it? I am a diehard fan of movies (my sister and cousins are in the field) but I always keep in mind they are just to have a good time, nothing more, although certain ones have good/bad/ugly memories attached to them.
Anyone remember the Mystery Science Theatre 3000, just because its cheesy and bad doesn't mean you can't enjoy watching it, when I was younger and in college, the *ehem* mind altering activities were supplemental to it whether grown or brewed ...

Funny part is I also remember seeing it in 1958 at the Sat afternoon matinee at the State Theater, Manchester, CT.
I think it cost me $0.15 and it was oh so cool...lolIf it ain't broke, don't fix it!
